"STUTTERING" Grandpa Scoota Talks New Music Project & Shows off his Pickedfromdagarden...

There's nothing like getting hyped up when you hear that a homie is about to do something really cool... That homie doing something really cool is why we are here today. Well, that tight thing is a hint of some new cool raps, for all my fellow hip hop heads.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, I got to catch up with a hip hop buddy of mine, Grandpa Scoota. He and I attended the same high school, Fairfax Senior High School (Fax), in Los Angeles, California, somewhere between 2011-2015. Fax was a cool place to be at for someone who wanted to make music because so many other young LA musicians had success stories radiating through its village. I reached out to Scoota when I noticed a series of videos, with a duration of a minute or so, were posted to his Instagram. These videos consisted of dense drums, guitar samples, and clips of someone painting his portrait. Edited into said videos were clips of him in the studio, playing basketball, and him actively participating in a game of 5 on 5.

I was entertained by how many aspects of creativity were packed into these 90-95 second videos. The caption beneath the videos that read 6/13 grabbed my attention the most, because it allowed me to assume that something special was on the way. I knew this assumption was valid because it was a statement from a guy I knew had some heat.

Upon reaching out to Scoota, we agreed to meet in a location in close proximities to where we went to school. Only makes sense lol. He gave the details of the upcoming project, "STUTTERING", a tribute to what he feels has occurred in his attempts to make his hip hop breakthrough project. To him, a stutter makes perfect sense because the definition of stutter is, a sound that comes out eventually but later and more repeated than others. In my head, that’s pretty clever stuff.

In Grandpa Scoota's previously released music visuals, he shed much light upon Pickedfromdagarden. He spoke highly of how the garments fit his style, so we decided to team up.
